Triple Two Step

The Triple Two Step is also called the country shuffle or Fort Worth shuffle. It gets its name because the footwork requires a triple step followed by another triple step, and then two walking steps. The pattern is counted as: 1 and 2, 3 and 4, walk, walk. That means eight weight changes are required over six beats of music to complete one full basic step. The Triple Two Step progresses around the dance floor in a counterclockwise fashion.
